The Elegant Peacock

A truly beautiful creature, I was lucky enough to spot not one but three Peacocks at the Melbourne Zoo, as well as lucky enough to see them spread their feathers out.

Alice In Wonderland

An awesome movie! I was lucky enough to see the dresses Alice wore in the movie as well as the Mad hatter's costume, shoes and hat at the Tim Burton Exhibition, that was cool!

Talk To The PAW!

My Caricature/Potrait Drawing

Take a look at a caricature I got done of myself, it was done by a man named John and it turned out pretty cool...Since I have been thinking about getting one for a while now I thought why not get one NOW! so I did...and it looks pretty cool, don't you think? Of course! Below is my caricature as well as the original.

My Portrait

 http://www.qvm.com.au/qvm/qvm_home.aspx

I ended up at the Queen Vic Market on the day that I visited the Melbourne Aquarium so walking through I came across a man who draws portraits and caricatures, so I thought why not, lets get a portrait done, so I did! I will have to take a photo of it and post it on my blog, an interesting experience as you face the many people who are walking past, I was a little bit shy and I kept thinking to myself, how is the drawing going as people kept looking at me and looking at the drawing, I was a little embarrassed, but it ended up turning out really cool, Simon Cee who was the man who did it, did a good job!

Magic Massage

I like to treat myself, I always have and I always will, so I thought that I might stop and indulge in a very much needed massage at Magic Massage in the Waverly Gardens shopping center...There are so many of these massage parlours around now, they are quite popular I think so anytime you need a well deserved massage like I did, I say Go For It!

A Maze'n Things

http://www.amazenthings.com.au/default.html

A cool and fun attraction to visit in Phillip Island, Linda and I went a few years ago when we had our day trip to Phillip Island, It was fun, we had a great time, we also visited the Nobbies that day as well as a wildlife sanctuary where Linda decided to venture into the section where all the BIG kangaroos were, with food might I add! When Linda comes home we will definitely have to do it over again...Not before I visit London and have a ball there first..You never know, I might just stay!

IMAX

http://www.imaxmelbourne.com.au/index.aspx?PageId=161&MovieId=159#

At IMAX it is always an interesting and unique experience, I was lucky enough to view Under The Sea, it was a very interesting documentary narrated by Jim Carey, it was about life under the sea. I will take myself back when something of interest is on and once again experience 3D and wear those silly glasses once again!

The Boudoir Boutique

http://www.theboudoirboutique.com.au/blog/

I cant wait to see my photos, It was a great experience and It was so cool to be able to step back in time and step into a decade where woman just looked gorgeous, Example: Marilyn Monroe...It's not everyday I get to have my hair curled and have it just gorgeous (thank you hairspray for holding it all in place) and fake eyelashes, I love being glamored up! Very excited and awaiting to see my photos! I will definitely post my photos once they are in my hot little hands!

ABBAWORLD - Exhibition

http://www.abbaworld.com/page/exhibition

This was a cool exhibition, the puppets below were on display, my highlights were the many costumes that were on display that the members of ABBA wore on many of their tours. A very interactive exhibition indeed with karaoke machines, dance mats and even a virtual holographic stage in which you could sing with ABBA! In every section there was a different video-clip or behind the scenes footage being played in every room, so yes well worth the visit and I am glad I finally went to see it. My favourite ABBA song is The Winner Takes It All!

Tim Burton: The Exhibition @ ACMI

http://www.acmi.net.au/timburton.aspx

The highlights for me were the cat woman costume from the movie BATMAN as well as the dresses that Alice wore in Alice in Wonderland. Overall a cool exhibition, I am glad I finally went and saw it! This (photo below) was an awesome piece of art, it was displayed on a canvas...I ended up buying it as a postcard. There were also some really cool sculptures and figurines that were made by Tim as well as a major highlight of mine being the Edwards Scissorhands costume, Wow did I say I was glad that I went because yes I was. Also the Bat Mobile, now that was cool to see considering I grew up with a brother who is a major Batman fan. Overall - It was Awesome!

Titanic - The Artefact Exhibition

http://museumvictoria.com.au/titanic

Explore detailed reconstructions of the ship’s interior including the Grand Staircase and First and Third Class cabins.
Discover how the ‘unsinkable’ ship met its fate and connect with the personal stories of people onboard as you view artifacts recovered from the ocean floor.
See treasures never before presented in Australia in this Melbourne-only showing.

A good exhibition, anyone who knows me knows I have always had a fascination with everything to do with the Titanic and the tragedy of this awesome luxury liner. My favorite movie is the TITANIC! Ive even been to the Titanic Theater restaurant, I went there for my 25th birthday and of course I was in first class! The food was superb.I dressed up and even wore my own Heart of the Ocean. At the exhibition my highlights were the grand staircase, and the stories behind the people on the ship that either survived or didn't, such stories always interest me. There was a replica of the iceberg and you didn't even need to be too close to it at all to feel just how cold it was, I hate the cold and cant even imagine what it would have been like on the night that the Titanic sunk.

Melbourne Museum

Hot Air Ballooning - Yarra Valley

I'm looking into organizing a Hot Air Balloon flight over the Yarra Valley, once I pick a date I will lock it in!

Scienceworks - Spotswood

http://museumvictoria.com.au/scienceworks/

I revisited Science Works to see if anything much had changed since the last time I had been there many many years ago, pretty much nothing at all has changed, Science Works is really more suited to families and children because there are so many interactive things for the kids to do,I had a walk through and a look around. The last time I was there was when the Star Wars exhibition was on, that was pretty cool! Was awesome to see Yoda!

Werribee Zoo

I went to the Werribee Zoo years ago, and I will be going back soon, Id love to see the Meerkats again, they are so adorable, I will be taking the Safari drive and would love to book the Rip Roaring experience that they have which allows you to get up close and personal with the Lions while they are being fed! That would be cool, anyone who knows me knows that I love cats!

Flippin Pancakes

http://www.flippinpancakes.com.au/

I enjoyed the delicious Gone Bananas crepe with a pint of Banana Smoothie...YUM! The crepe was filled with bananas, marinated in maple syrup and cinnamon and splashed with cointreau, with ice cream. I will deffinately be going back to Flippin Pancakes for another delicious meal!

Sassafras & Olinda - Dandenong Ranges

A visit to these places are always fun for me, I enjoy taking a stroll down the main streets and looking in all of the awesome shops, especially the candy shops that sell all different lollies and chocolates from around the world. The antique shops have some really cool antiques in them, I wish I could buy them all!I had a tasty baby passionfruit cupcake from a place called Cream which is in Sassafras...yum and in Olinda at Mountains Of Sweets I tried a chocolate bar called Mounds from the USA...only to discover that is was just like a bounty except with dark chocolate! I love coconut and dark chocolate! Dont get me wrong anything with chocolate is good but I was hoping for something that was uniquely different as it was from another country.

Heasville Sanctuary

My highlights were the Platypus, Tasmanian Devil and the fact that it bucketed down with rain at one point didn't bother me at all, because being Melbourne, of course the sun came back out. The animals have such awesome enclosures, they sure look like they are being well looked after. I was lucky enough to see the baby dingos, even though they were asleep but whats cuter than seeing pups sleeping...adorable! Its always a pleasure for me to see animals anytime, anywhere, except for the snakes and spiders I steered away from these sections, but I did come across an awesome lizard that swims, now that was cool to watch!

Melbourne Zoo

Definite highlights for me were the orangutans and different species of monkeys, the Gorilla that came up to the window and literally posed for us, the peacocks were awesome!! I love peacocks as they are absolutely gorgeous, the tigers were sleeping, the lions were feeding and it yet again bucketed down as it did when I was at Heasville, but yet again I say I didn't care as the sun came out once again.

The Red Panda and the Meerkats were cute and the Giraffes were fascinating to watch as one was really trying to reach some food from a tree and as tall as they are and as long as their tongues are he just couldn't get it! A good day out and as anyone who knows me knows that I love animals and so a day out at the zoo was a very enjoyable experience for me.

The animals have such awesome enclosures, the BIG orangutan was hiding in a massive potato bag, all you could see was his hand and wow what a BIG hand, he did pop his head out at one stage but never came out while I was there, two of the monkeys started play fighting and another few were showing off, fascinating to watch!

I also had the opportunity of seeing a bear up close,he came to the window and rested for a while, that was awesome, he obviously though the window was tasty as he enjoyed licking it, that was cool, he was literally on the other side of the glass, very BIG but very adorable too! The zoo is HUGE and im sure I didnt see it all, thats why you could easily spend all day there!

I got to see baby elephant Mali, what a little cutie pie!

She stuck close by to mum and was just adorable to watch, very fascinating!

Melbourne Aquarium

http://www.melbourneaquarium.com.au/

What can I say about the Melbourne Aquarium, this is truly an awesome place to visit, The King and Gentoo penguins were a definite highlight for me, They were very fascinating to observe, there were some funny and wacky looking fish that looked so cool that they didn't even look real, their colors were so immaculate that they didn't even look real. I certainly had my favorites. The seahorses are cool but very slow moving and the stingrays and sharks even though not my most favorites were cool to see as they swim over you in the Oceanarium. I also saw the cast of Finding Nemo, clown fish are actually really small and I was so excited to see the turtle, he was one cool dude. Overall it was a good experience!

Panny's Chocolate Factory - Phillip Island

http://www.phillipislandchocolatefactory.com.au/

The statue of Michael (above) was cool, I checked to see if there was anything under the leaf and to my surprise...yes there was! Only I would do that...hehe

The samples of chocolate that I was given...mmm, they have these cool robots that when you press a button telling them which chocolate flavor you want, dark, milk or white the robot picks it up for you and drops it down a shoot for you to enjoy...and oh yes did I enjoy it!

I was lucky enough to be walking past this just as it was time to see it run, lets just say anyone who knows I love chocolate would know that I would have loved to be on the other side of the glass, with the chocolate pouring into my mouth!

I stood on the scales, and of course surprisingly was told that I was not as heavy as the slab of chocolate (which weighs one tonne), I guess losing 6 kilos has made a difference! Of course I ended my visit by buying some chocolate, how can you not? A drive to this chocolate factory to buy thier chocolate is well worth it!
